Redbird is an independent production company based in the UK specialising in dramas, documentaries and features for cinema, television, radio and education.

We have a track record in making innovative and award-winning programmes and have won three BAFTAs, along with Royal Television Society, Prix Jeunesse, One World Media, Japan Prize, Picture This, Tribeca Film Festival and Silverdocs Awards.

We are a small core team collaborating with a very talented extended family of writers, directors, animators, DOPs, editors, sound designers and composers so we can put together the best team for each project.

We started making programmes because we believe in the power of stories to change and challenge the way we think. Over the years we’ve worked with brilliant people from lots of very different communities to create stories together that (hopefully!) help to shift or expand how their audiences see the world.
